O.B. council adopts budget amid disputes
BY CHRISTINA HABERSTROH Staff Writer The Old Bridge Township Council voted 5-4 along party lines to adopt the $56.3 million municipal budget for 2011 during its May 9 meeting. The budget, which came in under the state’s 2 percent tax levy cap, calls for a levy of $33.4 million from local taxpayers. This amounts to a tax hike of $90 on a home assessed at $150,000. read more
